The theme of the bride of Christ is often not touched upon or taught in local church life, and, when it is, it is usually treated in a passing or even superficial way.  Over many years in ministry, it has become my conviction that the consequent ignorance and lack of understanding of what it means to be Christ’s bride hinders the spiritual maturing of many believers.  And yet, this theme is one of the most glorious truths in the whole of the word of God, and the rich treasures and understanding which are yielded by an in-depth study of it, can lead into significant growth in our spiritual life and deep assurance in our relationship with the Lord.

     So this blogsite examines this theme in depth, focusing mainly on the implications of what it means to live in covenant relationship with Christ.  The consistency of intimacy which the Lord desires to develop with us is reflected in the deep love and enjoyment of our relationship with him, in the way in which we relate also to the world around us, and in the joyful anticipation of him returning soon to receive his bride.  Maranatha!
